STD FC's - Your PFC Replacement!

I got the job!

Its always nice once in a while when your all your hard work pays off when you receive a nice comment about your work or product. In this case it was a nice text message the other day from a PowerBuilder friend of mine who stated ....

The Software Tool & Die frameworks that I originally built in 1992 for PowerBuilder and later on, added support for PocketBuilder, PB.Net, EAServer, Appeon Web and Appeon Mobile, continues to evolve even to this day. The goal now is to update the frameworks in time for the brand new release of Appeon PB 2017 in June, 2017!

The frameworks even today are still being adopted by new and refactored mission critical PowerBuilder & Appeon Web/Mobile applications the world over with over 6,429  downloads in 2016! You can download them from their home on SourceForge  ... plus, they are open source, pure PowerScript, use no external DLL's & are free too!

** Hot News **

Appeon PowerBuilder 2017

Special Pre-Order Pricing is Back!

 More Information?

Over the last 2 months of 2015, thousands of copies of PowerBuilder 2017 were pre-ordered at a very special price. Due to the still high demand at the end of the first pricing promotion, Appeon has decided to extend a second promotion period to the PowerBuilder community starting on January 1, 2017 until the end of April 2017.
Appeon also appreciates that it takes time for companies & government agencies to fully understand the offer and work through their various purchase processing procedures. As such, Appeon are pleased to offer the PowerBuilder community a “second chance” to pre-order PowerBuilder at a big savings. If you pre-order PowerBuilder 2017 you will be entitled to the following benefits:
Don’t miss out on this last chance to pre-order PowerBuilder 2017 and save big before the regular pricing takes effect after April 30, 2017.

PowerBuilder Classic - Script Commenter

** Hot News **

STD Foundation Classes

New Script Commenter Application released!

Software Tool & Die Inc. today are very pleased to announce a new Script Commenter application for the PowerBuilder Classic IDE built from the latest STD Integrated Framework (release: October 2016) ...

Example of the Code Commenter at work!

The STD Script Commenter is a significant enhancement to the way a PB developer works (productivity) by easily allowing code comments to be added to any object classes PowerScipt! The Script Commenter is based on the original commenter application by R.C. Sizer but has been totally refactored.

The Script Commenter is designed to work with any Unicode version of PowerBuilder (v10.0 through 12.6). It can be activated in any PB IDE by creating a toolbar short-cut icon and assigning to the EXE as follows:

app path\ScriptCommenter.exe  header
  - or -
app path\ScriptCommenter.exe  block

The values added as a header or block comment are located in the "Comment_Block.ini" file. This file can built based on the values found in the "Comment_Template.ini" file and is customizable by the PB developer!

You can download the STD Script Commenter application from the STD Framework's website by clicking here!
