Updated Demo Apps for 2026

    Software Tool & Die Inc. (STD) are please to announce new & updated set of Demo applications for 2026 based on the latest 2026 R1 STD Integrated Framework. Remember that the framework and the Demo Apps are free and Open Source too! These new & updated applications for 2026 are as follows:

Note: In the download links, if you look at their "Beta" download folder you will also discover the downloadable version for running these Apps in the new PB 2025 R2 Beta version as well!  ;-)

 

 
   The Compact Disc Player application is a great example of a PB App that it is all driven by the STD framework. It also exemplifies how any PB App can control any MS-Windows O/S media device using the WMI (Windows Multi-media Interface) API interface, as follows:

     The updated OrderEntry application is a great example of a PB App that it is all driven by the STD framework. The updated 2026R1 framework now includes new / updated features like: I/O Device introspection; updated Ribbon Bar features; Workspace vs Solution App type logging; etc. The fOrderEntry application demonstrates most of the functionality and the "code behind" a developer needs to know on using the framework to build any PB App, as follows:

     The updated Windows Explorer application has been updated to use the latest 2026R1 framework that now allows any application to introspect your computers I/O devices using new framework classes. This application demonstrates the use of this new feature, as follows:

     The NEW File Explorer application has been built using the latest 2026R1 framework that now allows any application to introspect your computers file system!      The updateApplication Statistics utility has been built using the latest 2026R1 framework. This utility  allows the developer or production support staff to introspect any framework built application built from the framework that automatically collects runtime information, as follows:

    The STD Framework also has a slew of free & open source "demo" Apps built from the framework that the PB Developer can run. These apps show the PB Developer how various features of the framework work that can be used to deliver any conceivable application functionality in a fraction of the time.
